Science in Parallel: A Computational Science Podcast
Science in Parallelfocuses on the people of computational science and their interdisciplinary research to simulate climate change and the cosmos, understand viral infections, build alternative energy strategies and more – all using high-performance computing (HPC). We’ve been shortlisted multiple times for the Publisher Podcast Awardsfor Best Science & Medical and Best Technology Podcast.
Season 1 celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Department of Energy Computational Science Graduate Fellowship (DOE CSGF). Season 2 highlighted how the COVID-19 pandemic has reshaped computational science workplaces and careers, with in-depth conversations about HPC’s future. In Season 3, we discussed computing's frontiers: novel processors, tackling big research questions and the practical challenges that come with big data. Seasons 4 and 5 explore the synergy between creativity and computing.
